I love Moscow Mules. They are so delicious. The first Moscow Mule I tasted was a few years ago when I was out with some friends. I remember actually being shocked how good it was because I didn’t think I’d like anything with ginger beer in it. I had never had ginger beer but for some reason, I had the impression it wouldn’t be good. The rest of the evening I don’t think I stopped saying “I had no idea Moscow Mules were so good”. Since that night I tasted my first Moscow Mule, I’ve tasted many more. I love them!
One evening I had a hankering for a Moscow Mule but wanted to make it a little more holiday-ish than the typical Moscow Mule. ‘Tis the season after all. I had bought some pomegranate juice that was sitting right in my site line every time I opened my fridge. It dawned on my that pomegranate juice could be a perfect ingredient to create a holiday-ish cocktail … a Pomegranate Moscow Mule. Boy, was I ever right!
To make a Pomegranate Moscow Mule, I added ice to a copper mug and added vodka, pomegranate juice and lime juice. I stirred it all together then added ginger beer and gave it a taste. Nailed it! It was so yummy and is so easy to make.
I love the way the ginger beer stays nice and cold in the copper mug with ice. The flavors of ginger beer, lime and pomegranate meld so well together. This is my new favorite drink…until I find my next new favorite drink. Just writing this post make me want to go make another Pomegranate Moscow Mule. YUM!
For this cocktail, adding pomegranate seeds along with a slice of lime make this drink look so pretty in the glass and very holiday-ish.
Serve this tasty cocktail at your next gathering or make one for yourself. It’s so good! Enjoy!
