This Wicked Witches Brew aka Red Sangria is my go to punch when I have a party. Over the years I have received so many compliments on how yummy my Red Sangria is that I wanted to share it with all of you. Be careful with this Red Sangria. It’s so delicious and you can’t really taste the alcohol in it. It’ll sneak up on you.

I remember years ago when I made my first batch. I drank a big beer mug of it on my deck while I was sitting on a lounge chair. I know, I know….I said big beer mug but that’s how I roll sometimes. When I was done with the first glass, I stood up to get some more and realized how affected by what I had drunk already. I was thinking to myself, this is dangerously good.

One thing I really like about this recipe is that it is quick and easy to make. I’ve even been asked to make another batch during parties when it runs out. It doesn’t include any slicing or dicing of fruit. All the ingredients are liquid for easier mixing and quicker prep.

There’s no need to use an expensive wine for this recipe. I use an inexpensive red burgundy that comes in a huge jug. I buy two or three before parties. I’m always a bit embarrassed walking out of the grocery store with huge jugs of inexpensive wine. I feel like I have to say to people as I’m passing by, I’m making Sangria for a party.
